☕ Welcome to CLTBeans — Meet the Beans Behind the Brew

At CLTBeans, every cup starts with purpose — and incredible beans. We’re proud to source directly from Colombia, where some of the world’s best coffee grows in the cool, misty mountains of regions like Antioquia and Cauca.

In this first blog post, we're excited to introduce our two signature offerings:

Pitufo Beans:Castillo, and Pitufo Beans: Excelso.

Whether you’re a home brewer, a café lover, or just coffee-curious — here's a quick guide to what makes each one special.

🌿 Pitufo Beans Castillo– Small Beans, Big Flavor

Pitufo means “smurf” in Spanish — and this micro-lot lives up to the name. These tiny but mighty beans are grown at high altitudes and harvested with care.

Origin: Tambo, Cauca – 1700 MASL

Process: Washed

Roast: Medium

Tasting Notes: Dried orange peel, dark chocolate, red berries

Perfect For: French press, pour-over, or espresso lovers who enjoy a punchy, fruit-forward cup.

These are some of the most unique and flavorful beans we’ve sourced — bold, bright, and beautiful.

🌄 Pitufo Beans: Excelso – Classic Colombian Comfort

Excelso isn’t a bean type — it’s a size grade, and in Colombia, it means high-quality. These beans deliver that cozy, comforting flavor that Colombian coffee is famous for.

Origin: Blend of small farms in Antioquia

Process: Washed

Roast: Medium

Tasting Notes: Nutty, chocolatey, with hints of florals

Perfect For: Drip coffee or cold brew — smooth, classic, and reliable.

A familiar favorite with exceptional smoothness and a long, gentle finish.
